Webinar "Bioenergy for Energy Access, Security and Industrialization" on 10 May 2022, 3:00 CEST

Participants will be able to join the webinar from 14:30 CEST

The webinar "Bioenergy for Energy Access, Security and Industrialization" is organised on 10 May 2022 by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) under the umbrella of the Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centres (GN-SEC) Program. The objective of the webinar is to share up-to-date knowledge on bioenergy potentials in developing countries, particularly least developed countries (LDCs) and small island developing states (SIDS). The webinar will introduce successful strategies for developing local bioenergy industries in support of self-reliance, food and energy security.

The event will strengthen the capacities and knowledge base of policy makers, energy and agro experts in productive uses of biomass, biogas and bioethanol. Together, the panelists will share highlights on case studies and best practice of bioenergy projects in various country contexts. The event will also feature interactive discussions on practical lessons learned from bioenergy implementation. It will also identify opportunities for the joint implementation of the UNIDO Bioenergy Strategy in different GN-SEC regions.

The webinar will be held in English and French (simultanous interpretation will be offered).

Interested experts are invited to register for the webinar at: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_nzby0O0FSGqkVp4ilFdcgg by 9 May 2022.
