ECREEE Bids Farewell to Mr. Ibrahim Soumaila After 15 Years of Dedicated Service

Praia, November 14, 2025 – The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) held a warm and symbolic farewell ceremony in honor of Mr. Ibrahim Soumaila, the ProMERC Project Coordinator, who has served the institution with dedication and distinction for the past 15 years.

During the event, colleagues reflected on Mr. Soumaila’s remarkable contributions to the growth and success of ECREEE’s renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives across the ECOWAS region. His leadership within the ProMERC project and his unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions have earned him deep respect within the institution and beyond.

In recognition of his exceptional service, Mr. Gibson Obasi, Ag. Executive Director of ECREEE, presented Mr. Soumaila with the ECREEE Special Recognition Award. The award symbolizes the Centre’s gratitude for his professionalism, dedication, and long-standing impact.
