The islands are susceptible to natural disasters and negative effects of climate change. They are also characterized for their high dependency on imported fossil fuels, which makes it difficult to develop economies of scale, among other factors that limit their opportunities to develop and provide energy access.
For that reason, the webinars cycle “Energy Assurance for Islands” have been planned to be imparted on themes, such as: innovation initiatives on the insular context for the implementation of Renewable Energies which are suitable alternatives to support the project’s sustainability.
These webinars cycle will be led by a group of experts of The United Nation Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and The Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency of the SICA Countries (SICREEE). Said webinars, will be carried out in English and Spanish language.
