Selection of Manager SICREEE

Mr. Eric Bogantes has been selected as the Manager of the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency of the SICA countries (SICREEE), which is part of the Global Network of Sustainable Energy Centers (GN-SEC), which UNIDO promotes.
Under his coordination, the SICREEE is preparing the annual business plan, for its corresponding authorization by the Council of Ministers of Energy of SICA and its future implementation. Currently, the day-to-day activities of the center are being initiated, maintaining communication with strategic partners and in the future preparing calls for proposals, evaluations and project contracts.

Short biography:

Degree in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration, Specialization in Management Development for the Energy Sector of InWENT in the German Federal Republic, Master in Project Management from the Central American Institute of Public Administration. He has done internships and conferences in Germany and Latin America. Fluent command of German and English languages. He started in the ICE Group in 1991, then an ascending career, leading high performance teams up to Director of Strategy and Business Development, advisor to the Minister of Science and Technology. In the private sector, he was awarded two consecutive years as Huawei Future Star, was selected by CABEI as Manager of the Energy Efficiency Project for the Public Sector in Costa Rica. He practiced part-time university teaching for more than 18 years.
